After the award received in 2012, Pt Pran Indo Permata Abadi (PT.PIPA) was granted once again the first prize in the category best SME, during the fifth annual Sustainable Business Award Indonesia ceremony in Shangri-la Hotel Jakarta, on 27th September 2016.
This is the second time PT P.I.P.A. has won this award, which recognizes solutions to help Indonesian business community implement smart technology in various sectors including water systems.
The winners of this year's Sustainable Business Awards (SBA) Indonesia were announced in the presence of
- H.E. Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Industry,
- H.E. Bambang Brodjonegoro, Minister of National Development and Planning,
- H.E. Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs,
- Puan Maharani, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture,
- Rosan P. Roeslani, Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) as well as over 150 attendees from Indonesian and international corporations, government officials and media at the Shangri-La, Jakarta.

These awards prize business leaders' efforts in Indonesia towards the Paris climate goal of limiting global warming. The Sustainable Business Awards run in partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC Indonesia), to recognize businesses that demonstrate leadership and proven commitment to sustainability through rigorous assessment on business practices.
Winners were scored against both processes and performance across 11 categories; Strategy and vision; Workforce; Community; Energy management; Water management; waste & Material productivity; climate change; Supply chain; land-use, biodiversity and the environment; Business responsibility and ethics.
